James Kilpatrick
James is President of NAI Northern California and founder of The Kilpatrick Team. He has built investment sales, leasing, mortgage banking, property management, and receivership teams, in all major product types in the San Francisco Bay Area.
A San Francisco Bay Area native, James is a graduate from UC Berkeley in Economics, and received his MBA from Wharton where he chaired the Entrepreneurship club.
His extensive knowledge has presented positions as Director and President in real estate industry groups. He has comprehensive experience consulting as an expert in litigation, in mediations, for technology startups and for local and regional news. He also owns and runs a diverse portfolio of real estate assets.

Seth Hubbert is an Investment Advisor at NAI Northern California, specializing in transacting multifamily assets in the Bay Area. Seth has a strong leadership, analytical, and service background, providing the highest-level value to clients. Seth has grown and led several successful businesses, including Five Iron Financial, a real estate investment firm renovating distressed property and operating housing in high-growth regions in the United States.
He also previously served as the CEO of Tech Exchange, providing 45,000 computers to students and families during the height of the pandemic. Holding degrees in Physics and Education, Seth masterfully blends quantitative analysis with client guidance and support.
Damon Gerstein specializes in office, multifamily, and industrial real estate across the Bay Area. Born and raised in Marin County, CA, Damon has spent his life immersed in the region’s unique communities and dynamic market. His local knowledge, combined with his academic background, provides clients with both insight and strategy in navigating complex transactions. Damon earned his Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Development with a minor in Real Estate Development from the University of Arizona. This foundation equips him with a deep understanding of market analysis, urban planning, and investment strategy—tools he leverages to deliver value to his clients. At NAI NorCal, Damon is committed to learning from industry leaders while actively contributing to the team’s success. Outside of real estate, he is passionate about traveling and sports, enjoying everything from working out and snowboarding to hiking and exploring the outdoors.
Tim Marshall brings a strong background in property management, operations, and client service. A San Jose native, Tim founded and managed Marpensio LLC, where he gained hands-on experience in asset management, tenant relations, and vendor coordination. His career has also included leadership roles in customer experience and operations, equipping him with a problem-solving mindset and a client-first approach.
Tim earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business and Communication from the University of Puget Sound and his MBA from San Jose State University.
Passionate about building long-term relationships, Tim enjoys helping clients evaluate investment opportunities and uncovering strategies that align with their business goals.
Ian is a Bay Area native from San Jose, California. He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from San Jose State University, with studies in Global Business and Biochemical Engineering. His early career took him around the world building and commissioning plants in Brazil, Germany, Canada, Singapore, and across the U.S., working in areas such as plant-based proteins, zero-CO₂ concrete, cancer therapies, and algal oil.
In addition to his engineering work, Ian is a real estate investor with experience in single-family rentals, Airbnbs, commercial syndications, senior housing, and multifamily properties. Since his first investment in 2019, he has gained hands-on experience in acquisitions, underwriting RV parks and mobile home parks, evaluating NNN retail, managing deals from LOI through closing, raising capital, performing due diligence, and supporting investor relations.
